Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using the SafeBill application and services (the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not use the Service. These Terms apply to all users, including consumers, retailers, and API developers.
2. Description of Service
SafeBill provides a digital receipt management platform that allows users to capture, store, organize, and manage their purchase receipts, warranty information, and related financial documents. The Service includes mobile applications, web interfaces, and API integrations for retailers.
3. User Accounts
- You must provide accurate and complete information when creating an account.
- You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.
- You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account.
- One person may not maintain more than one account.
- You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service.
4. User Content
You retain ownership of all receipt data, photos, and other content you upload to SafeBill ("User Content"). By uploading content, you grant SafeBill a limited license to process, store, and display your content as necessary to provide the Service. This includes:
- Parsing receipt images using OCR and AI to extract data
- Storing receipt data in our secure infrastructure
- Generating analytics and insights based on your data
- Sharing content with users you explicitly designate (e.g., bill splitting)
5. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable laws
- Upload fraudulent, forged, or manipulated receipt data
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to other user accounts or our systems
- Use automated tools to access the Service without our prior written consent
- Interfere with or disrupt the Service or its infrastructure
- Reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the Service
6. Retailer Terms
Retailers using the SafeBill API agree to additional terms: accurate receipt data must be transmitted, customer consent must be obtained before sending digital receipts, API credentials must be kept secure, and usage must comply with all applicable consumer protection and data privacy regulations.
7. Intellectual Property
The Service, including its design, logos, code, and documentation, is the intellectual property of SafeBill. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works based on our intellectual property without explicit written permission.
8. Limitation of Liability
SafeBill is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid to SafeBill in the 12 months preceding the claim. SafeBill is not responsible for the accuracy of parsed receipt data or warranty information.
9. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time for violation of these Terms. You may delete your account at any time through the app settings. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases, and we will delete your data in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
10. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India. Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Bengaluru, Karnataka, India.
11. Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify users of material changes via email or in-app notification. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
