  • Account Information: Name, email address, phone number, and profile picture when you create an account.
  • Receipt Data: Photos of receipts, parsed receipt content (store name, items, amounts, dates), and associated warranty information.
  • Transaction Data: Purchase amounts, merchant details, payment methods, and categorization data.
  • Device Information: Device type, operating system, unique device identifiers, and mobile network information.
  • Usage Data: How you interact with the Service, including features used, pages viewed, and actions taken.
  • WhatsApp Data: When you forward receipts via WhatsApp, we process the forwarded message content to extract receipt information.

3. How We Use Your Information

  • To provide, maintain, and improve the Service
  • To parse, categorize, and store your receipts
  • To send warranty expiration reminders and spending insights
  • To facilitate bill splitting with other users
  • To generate spending analytics and reports for you
  • To communicate with you about updates, promotions, and support
  • To detect, prevent, and address fraud and security issues

4. Data Storage & Security

Your receipt data is encrypted at rest using AES-256 encryption and in transit using TLS 1.3. We store data on secure cloud infrastructure with regular security audits. Access to user data is strictly limited to authorized personnel who need it for service operations.

5. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal data. We may share information in the following circumstances:

  • With your consent: When you use bill-splitting features or share receipts with other users.
  • Service providers: With third-party vendors who assist in operating the Service (cloud hosting, analytics, customer support).
  • Retailers: Aggregated, anonymized transaction data may be shared with participating retailers for analytics purposes. Individual-level data is never shared without explicit consent.
  • Legal requirements: When required by law, regulation, or legal process.

6. Your Rights

You have the right to:

  • Access and download your receipt data at any time
  • Correct or update your personal information
  • Delete your account and all associated data
  • Opt out of promotional communications
  • Request a copy of all data we hold about you

7. Data Retention

We retain your receipt data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will delete all your personal data and receipt information within 30 days, except where retention is required by law (e.g., for tax compliance purposes).

8. Children's Privacy

The Service is not intended for use by children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we become aware that we have collected data from a child under 13, we will take steps to delete it.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any significant changes by posting the new policy on this page and updating the "Last updated" date. Your continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
